I'm ~160 pounds and 5-10 and about to turn 15, and I want to practice Krav Maga. However my mother doesn't want me to, because you get hit in the face a lot and she says I'll get brain damage, and wants be to choose one where I don't get hit in the face as much, so any suggestions for excellent and practical self defense martial arts, I live in D.C by the way and have to pass through dicey areas a lot too. I also took Kook Sool Won for a few years in elementary school too.
