he left his house and HE testified he backed them off his property.
are we not to believe his testimony?

It's not right because Texas says so, idiot. It's right because they were a danger to him and he protected himself and his family.
How can you be so cool and intelligent sometimes, and then completely moronic other times? I don't get it.
Invading another man's property without just cause is wrong. Threatening a man's family in their home is wrong. Defending your family from a threat is right. These are not up for votes.
You don't have to agree with me, but you do have to stop intentionally mischaracterizing my arguments.
Your ego isn't worth another's life.
One might - and I do - argue that he DID put his family first, and protected them quite effectively.
but when you (he) left the house with a gun, you (he) became the aggressor.
in other words, you can't create the situation and then use the situation to justify your actions. he was perfectly safe inside his house. they weren't trying to get in his house. the kids weren't displaying anything that indicate the father was in danger inside his house..........so when he went outside, he escalated it. he can't use that escalation he created to justify shooting the kids.
he was inside his house; they were outside his house.
i don't care if he was chased home, he got away. at that point he should have called the police, rather than seek vengeance.
I have to admit, he was a little trigger-happy. He should have waited until they were coming in. I would be surprised if they actually had tried to come in given that they were armed.
A white man would be punished for the same thing.
What violence did they commit?
gun laws save lives!
