and the proper way to handle this is to let BP do its thing under intense governmental pressure, then sort out how well it was done in calm hearings later.

people need to realize that BP as an entity is not evil. irresponsible people both in BP and the government agencies charged with inspecting the rigs are responsible. but no BP execs. we should come away from this re-assessing oversight and rules, but not necessarily victimizing BP. Maybe what Rand Paul said was not that far from the truth, but people are ignorant.
You keep trying combine the clean-up activities and capping the well, when theyre should be handled as two separate issues.
