It is so peaceful.
I am still living in my hometown, and I love it because it is what I am used to. I know everyone here and it is just great
It was hot in my little hometown yesterday: 95 F with 95% humidity. But there was a Blues Festival, and loads of people turned out to sit outside in the hot sun and listen. I love that people don't let uncomfortable weather deter them from being happy.
When the music finally finished at 11 PM, it was still 85 F but people were still there dancing in the dark and enjoying the evening.
I love my hometown cause it's tiny, there's great shopping in a downtown area which you can walk to, and you can get anywhere in 15 minutes. We're close to bigger cities, and surrounded by mountains.
I love my hometown because I have everything here. schools, hospitals, beaches, banks.. I mean everything! LOL Or almost everything.
Most of my friends live 1-4 streets away from me.
I like it because of the small town feel (which it is) but I'm constantly running into friends when I'm out and about. I can't go shopping without seeing someone who knows me, my mom, or my grandmother (we've lived in the same town for the past five generations at least). And really, that's kind of nice, to know that many people. I know all the people at the coffee shop I go to and at some of the other stores. It's also right on the Ohio River and close to a big city, so I have everything nearby if I want to go to bigger stores or something like that.
That sounds lovely.
My hometown isn't pretty and it's not very old but I think that the history is still interesting anyway because it was central in the logging industry for a long time.
I love the in town festival every Memorial Day weekend.
