Truth:

- a fact that has been verified

- conformity to reality or actuality; "they debated the truth of the proposition"; "the situation brought home to us the blunt truth of the military threat"; "he was famous for the truth of his portraits"; "he turned to religion in his search for eternal truth".

The above definitions of this word often contradict each other. Which makes me wonder: Your "truth" and someone else's "truth" in regards to religion are almost always different. So how can anyone use that word and think it lends their view/belief any sort of validation or credibility without a few facts as well?
