Thread: unlock iphone 3g & 3gs 04.26.08 thru 05.13.04 no wifi method

Hi Ppl... I hv successfully jailbroken my 3g with redsn0w_win_0.9.5b5-5 (the latest release of redsnow) for OS 4.0 and base 05.13.04.but i cant unlock using the method given here.When i launch the app,a screen scrolls off.thats it.Also i cant find afc2add in Cydai (i have jailbroken using latest redsnow) ..any help, pls?

Unfortunately you are unable to jailbreak the 4.0.0 firmware on the iPhone 3GS unless you have the old bootrom and you use PwnageTool for Mac.

Worked perfectly fine on my AT&T locked, 3.1.3 BaseBand 5.12.01 Bootloader 5.09.

automatically phone will be injected Afc2dd..

so after jailbreaking to redsnow your free to use the given unlocker..

and no need to find wer and how to get and how to install "AFC2ADD"

I have installed the ap via wifi but i now get the message sim failure when i put a sim card in. I have 3gs on new iboot 359.3.2 and obviously 3.1.3 and 5.12.1. Phone was locked to Orange France when bought without original sim and Jailbroken, but now says 'carrier not available' in 'settings' - 'about'. Am i doing something wrong as i get 'no service' on O2 sim. Tried Ultrasn0w 0.93 but cydia would never connect and download. Managed to get ultrasn0w 0.93 on ipod touch with same wifi earlier. Any ideas?
