those error 1601 and 1604 mean that you are restore a custom firmware, try the official firmware.

Hi yall,

i tried to flash my Iphone 3GS hang on USB icon with 3.1.3 but iTunes just shows Error 29. I tried with different USB Cables as PCs and usb ports.
How can i solve this problem?

Did you fix your error 29 on 3gs, i have the same problem after 4.0 update?

i think you are traying to do restore not update

Try To Update U Itunes And Make Restore Again

Check/change the connector and try again.

i tried nearly everything but still same Error 29 !!!!
tried different ports, different cables.
On the Screen i see the apple logo and a stripe but just to 50% then turns off auto.

how can i solve this prob?
