Thread: is there anyway to know if an iphone 3gs is factory unlocked or not?

is there anyway to know if an iphone 3gs is factory unlocked or not? i have 2 iphone 3gs in my hand which are in recovery mode and i think one of it might be factory unlocked but i need to be sure before upgrading to 4. any one a solution to identify the factory unlocked one? idea?

try first two different sim if it's accepted then

go to cydia search ultra snow if it install, its not factory unlock...

Do a restore and then try to activate with none official sim, if it can activate mean it factory unlock, if not mean it's not factory unlock.

if i restore and can not activate with none officail sim i will be in activation screen until there is a way to jailbreak 4.0.1 on iphone 3gs.
