Thread: iphone 2G cannot jail break and unlock

i tried all the possible ways.. red snow.. 0.4 and differnt firmware version also installed.. 3.1.3 and 3.1.2 but problem coming when redsnow want to ask enter phone in DFU mode.. suddenly window saying unknown device.. and iphone stop in rebooting process

its modem firmware is : 04.05.04_G

at the moment version installed is : 3.1.2 (7D11)

plz need urgent help. because this is some thing different

phone can enter in recovery mode.. no problem in restore also..

but when jailbreaking required to enter in DFU mode.. its message showing in window.. unknown device

I had this problem before..i believe i try on different pc or restart and try few times before it worked..but the procedure is dfu, restore 3.1.3 ..after restore do dfu again and use redsnow .9.4, select firmware 3.1.2...redsnow will automatically run instead of giving you the instruction how to get to to dfu..select install cydia and unlock in redsnow...wait until phone finish downgrading bootrom and unlock..you have to have 2 boot files,39.and 46 to unlock

reinstal apple mobile device support and try again. or reinstall i tunes. and try it will be ok.

i tried reinstall itune but still phone when entering in DFU Mode windows showing unknown device..

and firmware i already upgrade to 3.1.3 now.. and trying to unlock with redsnow by navigating to 3.1.2 version..


and if i tried with sprit still showing error...

ok when i try to make custom firmware version with snow breeze.. after restoring to custom firmware version its showing error in itune..

still cannot figure out how to solve this problem

i want to mention here. with original firmware version there is every thing is ok.. phone restore properly

last and final testing i done another 2G iphone put for DFU mode successfully in same computer... and itune succesfully recognize phone in DFU mode...


Now the thing is this... why other cannot recognize in DFU mode.. in Itune.. even phone entering in DFU Mode .. BEcause screen becoming blank...

but at same time windows showing device is not recognize (Unknown Device)

try this : How to: Unlock software, repair and flash tools, service manuals, unlock codes ..

i know this process.. and my phone is 2g not 3g ... but problem is phone when enter in DFU mode.. window showing unknown device..

but other iphone 2G successfully enter in DFU in same computer..
