This is how you can jailbreak & unlock iphone 3g & 3gs running in ver. 3.1.3 or 4.0 w/ BB 5.12 or 5.13 using redsn0w redsn0w_win_0.9.5b5-3
no need to activate the phone using itunes if you dont have the original sim carrier just jailbreak it using redsnow then update cydia & unlock it using redsn0w in cydia/manage/source/ ultrasn0w.93

not working 3gs only work 3g

I think not all iphone 3g right now im using it multitasking
listening music while browsing safari while sending sms

You should use version 9.2 Itunes or it will throw up error 15

did cydia finish all the necessary updates b4 you proceed to unlocking????

I know that some of the 3G Iphone which were released late 2009 has the resource to process the 4.0 OS as it was mentioned in the press release of the 4.0 OS guess mine does not fall in the late 2009 series. Need to swap it but here in India its hard to do that. Had picked mine from a lady from UK for 100 GBP guess I was unlucky.

But still will be waiting for a proper release of ultra snow as more prob I had was with Cydia all the components were not installed properly and still its trying to update cydia but keep on getting cache errors.
