Thread: UNBRICK GUIDE LG KF900 PRADA 2 (phone hangs on prada logo) - with GSMulti

hi guys...
probably you'll be interested in un-bricking your device without using vygis box...

what you need:
- LGMulti v3.0 + kf900 DLL here: RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting (refer to http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/4843659-post20.html for updated link)
- firmware here: RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting (check in the firmware list for the latest)
- USB data cable
- your bricked (stucking on ***** logo) KF900

remove the battery
open USBMap and select infiniteon, then "mapping start", and connect your mobile (WITHOUT BATTERY).
not sure if I did it in emergency mode or not, anyway if doesn't work simply press send (green) and function (C) buttons togethere while plugging the usb cable.
once the computer has recognized your mobile click save&exit.

now open GSMulti and choose the right DLL and .bin files you've just downloaded.
click start and wait a while..
first it didn't recognize my mobile..
I tried unplugging ad plugging it in again while pressing send and func buttons and after a while it started uploading the firmware to the mobile.
unplug your phone only when you see the blue-box "PASS (*** sec.)" (it took me 774 seconds)

After that you can insert your SIM card and the battery back and enjoy your working mobile!

I must inform you that my one does not rotate the screen when I'm using the QWERTY keyboard. I don't know if that's a firmware issue of what else.

Anyway I thik is better a phone with a little problem than an unusable phone!

i need driver for this model

drivers are generic, not specific for each model, as far as I know..
I have a huge amount of drivers installed on my computer, therefore I don't know excactly which are the ned ones for the *****.
Take a look at any thread with the instructions for updating the firmware of an lg, such as km900, kp500, ks360.. I think that the basic driver is infiniteon, btw.

the drivers will be picket up from C:\GSMULTI\UsbDrivers\INFINEON...
there is also a manual how to install them.
In the svc you have the procedure how to perform the flash.

I have my kf-900 stuck on the logo screen. I can get the USBMap to detect the phone and when i try to use GSMULTI it just says waiting to connect. Can some one give me some tips on how to get the program to read my phone. I think I am unclear on what buttons to press while plugging it in.
