Thread: SL45 very strange defect

Hello to everybody!
I have an SL45 with a very strange defect.
It has fw ver 17, and it works good.
I upgraded it with winswup to ver 56.
After then, the help is only in malaysian/indonesian and t9 wouldn't work.
I set the language other than mala/indo, activate the t9 support and load the proper t9 database, but this not solve.
The same happen if I flash a fubu v56 taked from another well working phone.
Re-flashing back the original fubu ver 17 all works well.
(the mmc contains all the help languages and the correct t9 database..., tested also with the mmc taked from the working phone with fw56)

Note: If I winswup with fw43, help goes bad but t9 works good.

Can anyone give me some information to solve this curious and very strange defect?

[note2: the phone stay well in my pocket and not out of the window]

You could try this:
After upgrading to fw v56:
start the phone
wait a minute (for the mmc to initialize correctly)
then go to menu/setup/device/language and try to unload (delete) all the languages and reload your language into one of the empty slots
Then SELECT this newlly loaded slot

Do the same for the t9 : from sms editor/options/t9 input/t9 language

Dont forget to ensure that the coresponding lang files are on their correct locations in mmc structure

They works fine and the problem was solved.

@all: excuse me, when I upgraded the phone it was very late and I was very tired. So,
1- I used a MMC content for a previous version of fw.
2- The fubu from the working phone works but it's patched and not simply clearable
3- I confused some steps in my mind and reported a not right description of the defect.
