Who are you with?

It is a programing decision made by Bell not to carry those channels as they are not widely viewed and they give priority to other channels that they feel are more popular. Yes the supporters will say they are widely viewed but they are not..... here or in the originating country.

I emailed them just to let them know I want Speed HD. The more they hear it, they might add the channel.

Here is the response I got.

to add more channels to our current channel line-up is based on the

- Availability of the channel in Canada
- Cost of providing the channel
- Viewer interest
- Providing satisfaction to a maximum amount of viewers
- Programming duplication
- Space the feed occupies on our satellite transponders

At this time, we do not offer this channel on our service. However, you
will be pleased to know that I have forwarded your channel suggestion to
the Marketing Department for further review and consideration. Bell TV
encourages all viewers and potential subscribers to forward any feedback
regarding our service and channel selection directly to us. Your
comments assist us with fulfilling the programming needs of our
customers.

The day they drop PBSHD for SpeedHD is the day I move to another provider. PBSHD and CBCHD are the only two channels producing children's programming in widescreen and HD available on Bell. Shows like Sesame Street are awesome in HD - much better than a bunch of cars.

What channel? I just checked all through my 800s and didn't notice it...

While I don't have numbers, I would think that Speed is VERY widely viewed.

There shouldn't be a need to drop anything. Competitors offer it, so Bell should as well. Simple as that.

Find it supprising that there has been no action on this - be great to see Barrett Jackson in HD!

I hear ya Jay. I didn't watch Barrett-Jackson, but I have been watching the Supercross and the Rolex 24h all in SD. What a bummer.
