I think this is as good as it gets a reason for BeV to part company with the compromised Nagra... If securing their system is the goal.

can someone plz tell me on what channel is the above card swap vid located in da programming guide? I've searched the entire guide for 10 minutes and can't seem to find a single clue.

Received cards here as well. The 9200 required an extra restart. The 6000 required unplugging for the new card to "take." The 9242 required no card.

I also received a card for a 6000 I no longer own. I upgraded it on the web site anyway. The buyer scammed me by pretending to be a legit customer to get a good price. The receiver was never registered so it was probably hacked and/or sold on eBay. I am hoping it quits working.

The audio drops on HDNet are not (directly at least) swap related. This issue has been reported elsewhere and affects non-swapped receivers as well.

Anyway, I wouldn't expect Bell to test every card that comes in. If you had to buy and ship 10 million cards would you test each one or take the chance? However if the failure rate is high, I'd stop sending them and send all remaining cards back to the company I purchased them from......

I got my cards on wednesday which included a 5200 receiver.

The 5x00 pvrs software is being updated according to receiver number, not all have the updated software yet.

The card swap video on youtube shows a 9200 with software E634

A bit off topic, but Dish Network has also announced plans of a swap to take place later this year.

They likely looked at that she had a 9242 and know that it doesn't require a new card.

i heard that the new cards require you to be hooked up to a phone line for two-way communication...is this true?
