Double the nvram means it won't need o download the guide information when it is brought up like the 3100 does. It's downloads guide data on a schedule similar to the way the 3200 does.

This is my second big news within 3 days.
BELL is launching a enchanced version of 3100, called the 4100
The improvements are
- Dolby Digital Optical output + s-video connection
- UHF remote control (though not to sure if its UHF pro)
- Havent confirmed this, but it looks like a cardless model (but have to confirm that)
- On a personal note, it looks a bit bulky than the slim 3100.
Will post more info as we go along
Crappy plastic box is almost like saying something nice about it.Whats the hole in the back of suppose to be?
I already have one... It looks similar in size to the Dish 111 with some modifications. The 3100 already has s-video. It is cardless... as all new models will be.
Same interface as 5900 or 6100.
This is not a replacement for the 3100. The 3100 will be replaced by the 3101 (not final model #). This unit will be similar to the 4700. It will compare to the Starchoice DSR315. This is part of a plan for Bell Expressvu to deliver hardware on all fronts (more options than any of their competitors).
You talk into this hole for bell customer support when you got no TV. This is a very advanced upgrade over the 3100
