this is a scam, it was actually on Dateline NBC one time. Think about it, do you really think that anyone is going to give you $2,700 in exchange for $52? The check is counterfeit for one thing, and it originates in some town outside of Nigeria, where they don't have the technology to investigate fraud. In fact, the last I heard, they were relocating to Iran, where the United States can't even intervene.

bottom line - don't do it, IT IS A SCAM! I have done extensive research on these things, and I know that this is a scam

SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not do it. The check will go in and they will want their "extra" money back immediately in cash and the check will bounce. Absolutely, under no circumstances, do this. If you want to call their bluff, tell them to wire the money to your acct and deduct the cost of the wire from the selling price he offered of $2700...I bet you will never hear from him again.
