data plans

Hi there I am new to the board I just got a couple of questions for using a blackberry on the Rogers network. I am currently using my moto v3i and i have a great plan but I would like to upgrade to a Blackberry. Question is if i get a blackberry and stick to my additional plan can I just add a $5 navigation plan to use with a Blackberry or do i need to get the actual blackberry plans to use the Blackberry to the fullest.

Blackberry will only allow you to use the blackberry data plans, if you get the 5 dollar plan w/o a blackberry plan then it wont work, blackberry has a pretty good navigation system /google maps berry 411

LL is right. You have to have the blackberry data plan.

45$ for the cheapest BB plan. 100 min talk and 0,5mb BW i think.

Thank for the help there. I just dont want to loose my voice plan and add another 25 ontop of it just adds up alot in the end

Us Rogers customers really pay for it... We only have business section to choose our data from. No unlimited here... I'm on the 60 dollar plan and haven't gone over the limit yet... It's been a while too!

That would be the thing to do, ever thought about Cingular's International plan?

Yes, it is very expensive for us canadians. Voice and data plans are both much more expensive than other countries. I don't know why ..would be much easier for me to sell phones if it wasn't that expensive.
