Well, I have a lg vx8100. I was able to email a midi to myself, but it doesn't seem to let me use it as a ringtone.
I have two seperate areas for sounds, one that has my ring tones, and one that has sounds... anyone know how to transfer them over?
do you need the data cable to set it as your ring tone? I have the music file saved under a folder called "tones" (the phone did this automatically) but there is no way to accually set it as my ringtone, only play it on command.
AudioVox CDM-8940
interesting... I'll have to try this out...
ok, neverming. I didn't know you could go over to different catagories when you set your ringtone, everything is working ok now.
qcp files work fine on my phone. no need for midi. i have an audiovox 8940.
I've got the LG VX8100, got the midi to my phone... Saved it... now it's under "MY SOUNDS" but i can't get it as a ringtone...
Suggestions? A lil' help =)
This site is free and has some cool MP3 / AAC ringtones:

I can get the qcp/midi file onto my phone in a message, but cannot apply the tone as a ringer. Under "details" it says qcp file. Any way to get rid of that tag or another conversion? I have a Moto 710. Thanks. Paying for things sucks.
