poor signal strength after switching from Alltel?

We just switched from Alltel to Verizon. We had no problem with signal in our home, had several different phones over the years, no problem with dropped calls. Now have enV2 and very poor signal, no bars, dropped calls. Why when the towers are supposed to be the same? We have tried everything they have told us to try *18 and so on and nothing helps. Could it be the phone?

poor signal strength after switching from Alltel?

It is still a transition period.

The Alltel towers are not necessarily Verizon Wireless towers yet. The conversion is still occurring and will continue for a while.

To check to see how good of service you should be receiving, go to Enter your location . They have not updated the site with the new Alltel towers yet.
