$18 upgrade fee -- get it waived

If you, like us, have been a good customer who pays their bills on time, there is no reason why AT&T would not waive your $18 upgrade fee. Call customer service and ask for them to waive the fee. You may get pushback on the first or even second call but hang up and try again. Just explain that, "I've been a good customer and have committed to another 2 years of being a good customer -- please waive this fee."

Don't take no for an answer. Hang up and get another customer service rep who will say yes. They will review your account and see your history.

I estimate we've easily spent $8000 on AT&T service in the last 8 years. t would be stupid for them not to waive the fee for such a customer.

$18 upgrade fee -- get it waived

So I've been getting gas at Safeway for the last 5 years, should I get a free tank every 6 months ? I'm glad you've stayed with AT&T for 8 years .....oh wait no you haven't , because at one point in time you were with a regional carrier that got bought by AT&T Wireless, which in turn was bought by Cingular Wireless because ATTWS went bankrupt for giving customers what they wanted and not watching their bottom line, and then Cingular merged with AT&T and Bellsouth.

So you were acquired by AT&T ... pay the $18, get over it. People like you complain that there's no free phones and then you want the shipping fee that pays for shipping and the sale's reps pay to be waived.

Let me go to your company demand a bunch of stuff for free and take money and food right out of your mouth

$18 upgrade fee -- get it waived

    That's hilarious.

Ok, now that I've stopped laughing, I don't think any company should charge a "bogus" fee. And this one is definitely bogus. It is nothing but benefit for AT&T to lock me in for another 2 years.

Tell you what -- I tell them I am leaving and they will be throwing a lot more than an $18 credit at me.

No, but Safeway won't charge you $18 if you want to continue as a customer.
