Prospective T-MO customer, question on my faves

Hi there, I am considering a switch to tmobile and setting up me and my wife with Blackberry 8100's, and all the fixin's. I currenlty have Verizon with a 8703e, and am paying through the nose for it. I am looking at the Family Plan Ultra my faves with 3000 minutes, my faves on each phone, Blackberry internet service, mobile to mobile calling, etc. It still comes out cheaper by $50.00 a month with T-mobile, so it is a no brainer for me. My question is this: Can you change the People in your My Faves often, fairly often, or not at all? We are Real Estate agents, and our People that we would choose for our My faves ideally would change with whatever transaction we are doing at the time. Any Tmo Saavy people out there could anwser this for me would be great. I am planning to order my Pearl's from Amazon.com, then transfer my number from VZW once we have the phones, then cancel our plan since we are out of contract now as of the 1st. Thanks ahead for any help!

Its a good question that I wondered about myself. But I do know you can't do the transfer phone number thing under the Amazon.com contract. Watch out for that.

You can, you just cannot do it when you order, you have to get the phone, then call Tmo and have them port it... It takes like 3 days, then you can cancel your service. They tell you when the port is done via a text message. I checked my numbers, and I can port them... WooHoo!

Prospective T-MO customer, question on my faves

As far as the material I have in my store. You can change your my faves list every month. Also, keep in mind that the my fave family plans do not come with mobile to mobile. (sounds like you already knew this but just throwing it out there anyways )

As far as doing the port over Amazon, I say don't do it. Too many things could go wrong. Just go into a store. You pay a lil more for the phone but at least you get the port moving along a lot quicker. In some cases it will be fully ported within a few hours. If there are problems you can go back for support. Just my $0.02 tho since I'm a dealer. haha

I bought mine through amazon and switched the phone number from verizon within a few hours. It was pretty painless. I have only had it for little over a week and no problems so far. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Actually when you port a number over it will automatically cancel your service with Verizon. Also you might look and are if tmo has a deal running with a contract. You might be able to get a good deal on the phone by checking www.t-mobile.com or by going to a store. Good luck!~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~

Ah... I misread the agreement. You can't transfer another t-mobile number. That makes sense.
