If I travel outside of the USA, but DO NOT enable the International BB Plan, does that mean I won't receive any BB email messages at all? Or I will and just be charged a higher (data) rate? TIA.

First, no one here can give you a definitive answer - only your provider can give you an answer worth anything.
That said, you're almost certainly going to be charged for data BY THE KB if you leave your data connection on and don't have an International plan. I've seen it get up into the THOUSANDS, so be careful!
I travel a lot (11 countries this year) and brought my BB to all of them. If you have World Class service (international roaming) then you'll be charged by the KB ($0.015/kb or $15 a MB). If you have background apps that autoupdate, then they'll be running up the bill.
For my 8320, I set it so when roaming, data services are off. I figure that if I can find a free wifi spot, I'll turn wifi on and sync data in order to save myself some cash.
But I've noticed that it varies. Sometimes I don't get charged for data when I'm on GRPS (I'll almost always get charged when on EDGE). All I can say is that you need to watch your phone when going overseas otherwise you might find an expensive surprise upon your return.
With T-Mobile the is an international roaming feature to get unlimited E-mail while out of the US, Borwaing is still international data and 15.86 per MB. but makes sure you standard data plan is not removed, you must have both your standerard data plan AND the international email feature added on, when you get back leave the international on a week or so to make sure all the charges have come in from over seas.
Is the international email free? My wife is going to Europe in March and I'm wondering what's the best way to stay in contact with her without racking up a crazy bill.
Thanks.

If you are on TMO activate their international email plan for $19.99 / month for unlimited email access while in Europe.
I just spoke to a cust service rep, adding the international email at 19 bucks, and it is 10 buck per mb for using data. Seems like the 10 per mb is kinda high, i'll have to stay off myspace while traveling.
Hey furtive, where can i find the option on my curve to switch off my data service. I would like to set it up to shut off also since I go international from time to time and will probably forget to do this
