In my earlier reply I only opined that the 6-6's were weak in the low-end as a TC96 bolt-in and that IMO they need a compression increase to reach their full potential. That's all, and I didn't proselytize for the cams I have in my bike or suggest they would win any drag races. They are a different grind for a different purpose, and many like them. If you prefer a peakier grind that is fine too, as everyone has their priorities. The 6-6's will win a drag-race against an otherwise like-equipped TC96 with 255's every time, but they won't likely win in hole-shot to 3500 rpms, nor will they pass a truck as fast without downshifting. If you spend most of your time below 3500 like I do you won't likely care much what happens above that point, or who beats you in a drag race.

That's your opinion for your kind of riding, but I disagree for my needs. Nobody is wrong and everyone simply has different priorities.

Could there be a slight advantage to the 555 because of the much cooler temps today/tonight?

I'm an hour away from jamie, and its MUCH cooler today (70 for a high and lower humidity).

    Just asking.

Ok......now lets start making some real HP with some 107" testing.....LOL

This thread has me stoked. I don't have a bagger, and after a great deal of discussion with the very patient guys at Hillside, I ordered the 555, and am putting in a 4* advance until I go with their 107/Stage II combo. Then I'll pull the advance. But looking at these charts, I won't feel too deprived just doing cams first. Thanks again Jamie for great work.

    TedMan.....

The 107 Kit you speak of comes from Revolution Performance, right?

This is the "107 kit" I'm talking about in the above post.

Sorry to hi-jack the thread.......carry on.

I am wondering the same thing? I am on vacation and planned on ordering the 6-6's when I get back but now am thinking the 555's might be the way I want to go.

I just know the 6-6 has proven itself by Jamie and I haven't heard any bad reviews on them. I did hear and read that a bunch of people said the woods cams were noisier than stock but nobody seems to be complaining about the 6-6's mostly just the 7's and bigger. Everybody I have read that has the 6-6 loves them and I know Jamie has a great Map for my bike for them and my setup.
