At&t Phone/ Tmobile sim card help?

My dad recently bought an At&t quickfire for my birthday but i had a t mobile sim card in my older phone. The quickfire is already unlocked, but i still don't get completely full service like i did with my other t mobile phone. for example: I get internet, but i cant download anything from it like apps and games. i also cant send or receive multimedia messages anymore. I know i cant use any of the apps that came with it like mobile tv, but is there any way i can mod it or whatever so that i can?

I am not sure if its related to unlocking. But you can get a permanent unlock solution from Unlocking4u.com for your mobile. I think the problem might be to the settings. Just adjust it for your new network and everything should be fine.
