8PSK Conversion Switch between WIVB OTA and BELL for golf and BELL almost looks 480p widescreen.
8PSK Conversion
8PSK Conversion I agree Mark, the picture quality is not consistent. Yesterday's, PGA tornament had great close ups of the players, but picture quality does suffer, not just on sports but more often than not on movies and regular HD programming in general. I too notice this, perhaps the screen size does have alot to do with this. I too have a Kuro 60". If there is something wrong with the signal, this set will show it. GARBAGE IN GARBAGE OUT!! Paul
8PSK Conversion Could also be wiring/connections. I had a 4700 that I retired a while ago that would have issues like this. It ended up being the coax connector on the back of the reciever that was causing the problem. The funny thing was the only channels affected were the Movie Central channels.
8PSK Conversion Interesting suggestion. I've never seen this variable mentioned before. In addition I wonder if there might even be variations within models caused by perhaps different component suppliers? Maybe this explains why some people see more artifacts than others.
8PSK Conversion your telling me, non of the bell SD receivers are 8PSK compatible??? WOW!
8PSK Conversion It depends of the nature of the programs. Fast actions needs more data than those that are more statics. Also wich other channels are on the same transponder.
8PSK Conversion Maybe it depend of witch bell receiver is used?
8PSK Conversion Hmmmmm. So if it does not affect the compression, how are they planning on getting more HD Channels on the same transponder.?
8PSK Conversion 8PSK is a modulation; the data is the same. MP4 will reduce the data as it's a compression.
8PSK Conversion Well that is not good news. I was hoping for the provider with the best PVR to also have the best-looking HD channels. All HD channels used to be sharp looking, but now most of them are dull and blurry compared to what they used to be just 2 years ago. I am seriously looking at canceling Bell and going with another provider.
