FYI. The $582 is the vinyl one, the leather is $764 (for the 07's).

Yup, trust me I've done a sh*tload of research on seats - as I still have the p.o.s. stock, and this is the seat I will be getting. The biggest difference from the earlier and the newer are the controls. The new version has the controls in a 'pocket' sort of away from the seat. I guess the uh, 'heavier' folks found that their weight would cause the switches to engage thinking the bladders were defective, so that problem is corrected in the new version.

    myred55,
Yeah, I saw that they changed the seat. It is 'still', IMO, an awesome seat and like you, I'll be picking one up from Chicago HD, probably in January or February since I'll be using my SunRay Premium Heated seat during the winter months (we get a fair amount of riding time here in CO, over the winter months. Cold be damned. )

The seat is different than the 07 and older models 52341-97D. The new seat 51072-09 is for 08 and later touring They have omited the "tailbone zone" from the new model. I'm buying one as soon as I can afford it!
Found Chicago Harley to be the cheapest so far $582.00 including shipping. If anyone finds it cheaper than Chicago HD, please let me know.

Installed one on my 09 ultra and then took off on a 1200 mile ride. The seat is worth every penny.
My other seats were always reworked and gel or memory foam added. They ended up costing almost as much as the AZ. And no where near as comfortable.
