Rush I've tried to get into this band but other than a few songs, I can't really say I enjoy their music.

Rush I love his vocals on The Temples Of Syrinx, awesome song.
Rush Well... Great musicians they are... But if we are talking about quality songwriting in prog, they don't compare to Roger Waters, Robert Fripp, Ian Anderson, Peter Gabriel and Peter Hammill. IMO. And like ELP the lyrics aren't really that important, they just let the music do the talking. I love Rush, though i think they are a little overrated compared to other lesser known but equally talented prog banRAB.

Rush yeah trace87 that's what I meant. And for the record I just think prog rock in general is pretentious, not necessarily in bad taste.
Rush Another Rush lover chiming in. Geddy Lee has one of the most distinctive voices in rock, it has to grow on you. My fav song is Working Man.
Rush My sister insists that Geddy Lee is a woman. I like Rush alright, I only have Moving Pictures, but I like it a lot.
Rush in his previous post he discounted boo boo's taste because his last.fm had a lot of prog acts. pretty sure he didn't mean this to be his top 4 prog acts of all time list.
