Ponyo to open on over 800 theaters. Damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it, DAMN IT! WTF?! There's not a single theatre in South Carolina showing it?! Have all the showtimes been updated, really?! GRAAH!!!
Ponyo to open on over 800 theaters.
Ponyo to open on over 800 theaters. If anyone in Central PA is interested, Altoona has Ponyo now (Altoona is almost in the middle of the state). After I drove 2 hours to Pittsburgh to see it... Oh well, now I get to see it again.
Ponyo to open on over 800 theaters. Ahh...the joys of college in the city during the summer can have its share of good news. They are playing Ponyo down the street from my apartment. I am anticipating very much for the release.
Ponyo to open on over 800 theaters. He probably wasn't the best voice in the cast, but I don't think he did a bad job at all. Although I do think the rest of the cast in Laputa outclassed him certainly--they were all excellent.
Ponyo to open on over 800 theaters. I don't see what's so bad about his site. He actually makes a lot of interesting points and recommenRAB obscure stuff I'd never heard of before. He liked the dubs of Ponyo and Totoro too, if I recall. I disagree with him on the other dubs, but he has a right to his opinion and he explains his reasons well.
Ponyo to open on over 800 theaters. The thing I find weird is that Pittsburgh has at least three showings within a half hour radius yet State College, home of some nationally recognizable Japanese teachers and host to many Asian events has no showtimes. Hopefully the nerRAB at my college will be able to get a hold of a second run reel like they did with all the other movies they played last year.
Ponyo to open on over 800 theaters. I just checked it out and it seems that there are five theaters playing Ponyo within twenty miles of my zip code. However, only one of them would actually work since it only takes about a twenty minute drive to get there, while the other theaters would be at least an hour or more to get there. That's pretty cool. I'm too busy this weekend to go, but I might try to go next weekend since it seems like a really nice family movie and I haven't actually seen a movie in theaters for about four or so years. I'm usually either too busy with school or I just wait for the movie to air on TV or come out on DVD.
Ponyo to open on over 800 theaters. Well, Howl's Moving Castle was released to U.S. theaters in late June or early July of 2005, but the DVD wasn't released until about March of 2006. Granted, Ponyo might get a late 2009 DVD release hoping for some Christmas sales.
Ponyo to open on over 800 theaters. The Internet Movie Database forums are just as bad, but I think the worst of the Miyazaki websites I'd recommend staying away from is The Ghibli Blog; the owner of that site hates every single Ghibli dub ever made (save Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle) and castigates Disney at every opportunity. He has also used excessively negative and blasphemous insults in his larabasting of the dubs, stating that the actors "sound like they're talking down to a baby or health stroke victims", which ironically is just what he sounRAB like. I DO NOT recommend that place at all.
Ponyo to open on over 800 theaters. Well I checked Moviefone for showtimes and theaters that are screening Ponyo, or at least in a 10 mile radius. One in New York and One in New Jersey, and lucky me, the New York one is ten minutes away from my house. I'll try to go tomorrow.
