The only reason I bought the 360 is because I wanted to play Oblivion (and yes it cost me a lot less then upgrading my PC to play the game) Plus I had $500 from work to spend on junk. I would probably have waited if I didn't want to play that game and if I didn't have the extra cash at the time. I was planning on waiting for the PS3, until I heard it was going to cost so much. In the next 6 months, I think the 360 is going to look very attractive as far as the games coming out for it go. But, to answer your questions... you should find out where that processor upgrade is really expected to happen and if it is expected to happen in the next 6 months... wait.
