Yeah, whenever a Japanese company (Toei, TMS, Sunrise and Madhouse) happens to make an American TV show, they always seem to be more fluid then whenever a south Korean company (Akom, Sunwoo, Rough Draft's satelite studio in Korea) or Tiwanese (Wang) company makes one (The sole exception of course being Transformers G1 *not its 1986 spin off movie, but the show itself*, but given the fact that Akom was involved... I'm kinda suprised that both Toei and TMS did some decent work in it).

Sad...But true. I mean, I'm not hating on the art style. Being influence by anime/manga isn't a bad thing, but...Anime/manga have more than one art style.

Anyways, I did saw the clip and yeah; not half bad.

Wow that looks like it woulda been really good! Ooooh Madhouse. NOM.

My only beef was the "learn to draw manga" eyes. I don't mind anime influenced stuff - hell I DRAW hybrid type stuff, but those were literally out of a how do draw manga book. :B

Well, that was unexpected. T.C needs his signature hat back, quickly as possible. F.F reminds me of some dA art I recently caught up with. http://hitlersbrain.deviantart.com/a...-gang-12357997.

Don't know if The X-tacles was mentioned, but Adult Swim aired two 15 minute episodes back in November 2008, it was meant to be a spin off of Frisky Dingo but 70/30 Productions shut its doors in January 2009 leaving the series unfinished.

I also recall hearing about a Captain Underpants cartoon that was cancelled.
Might have just been a rumor, though..

Well even with Arnold Stang no longer with us..... I have to admit a new Top Cat series would be pretty cool.

Admittedly, Tom Kenny did a pretty good imitation of Top Cat on HB:AAL and the voice actors for Choo-Choo, Brain, Fancy, and Spook are still alive I believe.

Not to mention the character designs don't look half bad.

Back in the early 1990s, Dic was going to make a cartoon based on the Troma film "Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D." (interestingly, Dic bigshot Andy Heyward's children loved the movie). It never came to be due to some Anti-Japanese sentiment in the USA at the time (this WAS when Columbia-Tri-Star was purchased by Sony, and several landmarks in New York found new owners based in the Land of the Rising Sun). On the DVD of Kabukiman, you can see an animated promo pitch as well as a "Sgt. Kabukiman Rocks" music video showcasing production artwork. Interestingly, in a 2007 issue of Animation Magazine, someone talked how in order to promote Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D. at Mipcom in Cannes, they had someone in a kabuki outfit attack stuffed animals of characters from competing studios.

Also, the guy at Mirage Studios were trying to get Ruby-Spears interested in a cartoon about the TMNT supporting characters the Mighty Mutanimals. You can read more at Steve Lavigne and Ryan Brown's blog.
