My favorite author is Sarah Dessen, because i like her books however they aren't for everyone, so she isn't the best author ever. I would have to say Steven King, because his work can be admired by people of all ages.

i think the people who wrote the bible. (christian) but if you mean a novel writer i think alexander dumas, virginia woolf, and leo tolstoy are some examples. the count of monte cristo is fairly easy to go along wiht and there are moral values.

Meg Cabot by far is my choice. She covers so many different topics and has even published a book about a high school kid being the reincarnation of a king. How much more creative can you get than that. She also wrote the princess diaries which became a very good movie and has other books that are tv series. She is my inspiration to become a writer and I have already written more than fifteen stories.

Who do you think is the best author ever?

Based on the quality, relevance and timelessness of their books? Would you look to their books as examples of writing master classes? Were the books relevant at the time they were written and did they say something about sociey? Could they be read by a young, modern reader and still have an impact?

Thanks! Just curious as to what you guys think?
