I would agree if the schools were not teaching theory as fact.
"Everyone who is not christian should be deported in their eyes" How about we start by deporting all the people who make blanket assumptions about a particular religious group? Oh by the way, yes I agree as far as letting students express their religious freedom. But, with no input from the government.
No, but our morals should be upheld. Bring back the paddle in the principals office, allow the "ruler across the knuckles," tell whiney parents to discipline their children, and half the problems with our schools will be solved.
Some christians think so, and I'm fine and all for students expressing their religions in school as long as they do it without disrupting class/other students. However, if a student answers a question incorrectly in the context of the course, as you've explained, its still incorrect and they should get points taken off. After all, I believe all the answers I give are right, but if I answer 2*3=4593 I'm going to get points taken off, no ifs ands or buts about what I believe the answer to be.
The first amendment prohibits such actions. However, I think a world religions class could be beneficial to children.
"stock answer" ? Children should be able to understand scientific principles and not be rewarded with answers that have nothing to do with science. period.
Maybe Christianity is an evil religion, the Devil's greatest trick, mind you, a vehicle for all sorts of racism, sexism, classism, political power-mongering and other vile acts. We do them anyway but religion has sanctioned some of the most horrible acts in human history.
Religion should be taught in the home by the parents.
