    is it for dj related use? i really wouldn't recommend either if you plan on using them for long-term listening. both pairs are very stiff as they're made to stand up to abuse. i'd look into the other sony headphones (forget the model #, the black studio ones with the bigger cups.) or just go sennheiser.

    I'm looking for overall sound quality and I've come down to these two...

    The Sony MDR-700DJ (the one everyone seems to have) and the Pioneer HDJ-1000.
