Has this whole petrol crisis in the UK been designed because the government know Iran is about to get bombed? With this whole issue of tanker drivers going on strike being a very convenient cover story? It may very well be a legitimate cover story but only a day or two before it broke there was an article claiming that military personal are learning to transport fuel in case of a strike so in one sense they have the strike covered if it goes ahead. But are they using this opportunity to save the economy some money by telling everyone to fill up now because they know Iran is about to get attacked. Everyone knows Iran has threatened to close Strait of Hormuz if attacked. Because of this I think the government has jumped on the back of this union strike threat in order to keep Iran a secret. Time will tell I guess. In case your wondering, the economy will suffer if nobody has fuel to get to work. Also, Iran may not be able to close the Strait of Hormuz however, no tanker ships can pass through the Strait if it's a war zone. In other words Iran doesn't need to block it, they just need to keep fighting back in the region to halt any commercial passage through the Strait of Hormuz. Not even America could protect commercial ships in a war zone.
