Obama's idea of a civilized debate is one where the people are brain dead and the only thing they can say is "yes we can". All people, dem and con, are irate about the way this administration has being handling things. from a 75% approval rating to a meager 49% rating. That's about 14 pts. higher than Bush's rating when he LEFT office. You libs make me laugh.

Do you mean the same 0bama who sends in union thugs to intimidate, harass, and accuse ordinary citizens of being conservative plants at these meetings ?

He just can't seem to get past his Chicago machine democrat mentality of using organized labor, the race card, and graft & corruption, as his trump card to get his way.

Be careful of throwing rocks. Your favorite vice-president, Dick Cheney, told Senator Leahy (F*** You) in the presence of witnesses. That's several levels more disgusting. When your side cleans up their act, maybe people can start being civil toward each other.

It's not just Obama. We all want civilized debate, don't we? Do you think that, because his "czar" used a cussword, Obama should now call for an uncivilized debate? What sense would that make?

It's perfectly acceptable under this administration to shout down opponents, disrupt meetings and force their issues upon everyone, yet woe betide anyone that voices their opinion against them.

Reeks of hypocrisy at its worst and according to Alinsky's 'Rules for Radicals' it's OK for them but not the other.

All you have to do is change the definitions of a few words and the liberal lemmings will believe evil is good and good is evil.

In reality, Green jobs means less jobs and people working at something that will ruin the economy and place more people out of work. by destroying the private sector which creates constructive jobs.

However, if you call those jobs "green" the lemmings believe they are saving the world. Now if you are a liberal lemming chanting "Hope" "Change" "yes we can" well, of course those who oppose a "green jobs" Czar are aholes who want to destroy the world. See how easy it was?

Now as to changing the meanings of "civilized debate" since lemmings truly believe the ravings of the left, "civilized debate" means - Conservatives allowing liberals to have their way and not making any points that could be contrary to liberal doctrine. In the same way as Bipartisan means agreeing with liberals. and never liberals agreeing with conservatives. Remember, even though Obama calls for bipartisan cooperation, he has never crossed the isle.

He doesn;t want civilized anything. he makes all the trouble and blames it on the right. I saw one of their examples butting in and causing trouble to the peaceful protesters.
and johnson's speech if you can call it a speech was so typ[ical of the how the democrats behave. this is what they call speeches. full of filth and lies.

He should fire the guy. That said, the President was a "community organizer", a/k/a rabble rouser for leftist causes, in the 1980s. Disrupting meetings with organized (and often paid) protesters it a time honored tactic by these groups. Obama believes that the angry taxpayers at congress' town hall meetings with constituents is part of a similar organized resistance, and he wants to pave the way for having them thrown out or arrested, or at least intimidated into silence.

But it's a misunderstanding on his part. Once it becomes clear that the taxpayer rebellion is truly grassroots and needs no 'community organizers', the White House will go back to the drawing board and come up with a new health care plan and a new strategy.
