Why am i afraid to talk to my best friend over a casual facebook chat or AIM.. haha..?

Im a 16 year old guy. One of my best friends is a 15 year old girl. No im not gay.(i have nothing wrong with homosexuals) I just happen to be best friends with a girl.

I don't think i have feelings for her because i know we're just friends... But for some reason i feel weird chatting her on facebook or AIM even though i want to talk to her.

We usually text 24/7. As soon as we go to bed and as soon as we wake up. And we talked on the phone alot. But i havent had a phone for the past month so i guess im not used to talking to her as often, but i see her at school everyday and we talk alot then and have a sort of 'ritual' where she waits for me to come through the front door of the highschool and she hugs me. Which i love because it makes my day, and then we just start talking.

So im not entirely sure one where im going with this.. But i love her like a best friend... but am nervous to talk to her like i 'like' her.
This is really confusing so sorry about that.
