    HI <3

    PDA/Smartphone for MD

I'm looking for my first PDA phone or Smartphone for use as an all-in-one device to primarily:

    1) Get email and surf the internet over Wi-Fi only (will not need a data plan)
    2) Use medical programs including Epocrates/Micromedex (I like having both), Sanford Guide, various commerical and freeware medical calculators, and so forth

I am wondering if most medical programs can run on the newer Smartphones like the Q, Dash, and Blackjack. I currently have T-mobile but have been quite disappointed waiting on something better than the MDA. When I started looking late last year, I knew the MDA was already 2+ year old technology by world standards, and at a premium price. I may be open to switching carriers but then again may be stuck with the Wing. I just don't know if it will be snappy enough to be that effective in day to day use--when I'm on rounds or very busy, it won't be terribly useful if I have to wait 10 seconds for an app to start up.
