'98 dodge ram. transmission issues? I have a 98 ram 1500 5.9l 4x4. Transmission has no reverse and there is a slight delay in the forward gears at takeoff. It never gave any sign there was a problem. Just gave out. Is this a torque converter issue or do I have more serious issues? Aside from the fact its a dodge ram lol. Been a great truck till bout a year ago. Now I'm finding out what eveybody says about that era ram is true. Great engines, not that reliable anywhere else.
