    Joe

I have a Honda Civic 2012. The question is, should I buff the car fully or partially (the scratched portion).?

I have a honda civic and it has about a meter scratch in length about half an inch in width ( 2 scratches like this). I went to the get a few quotes at auto body shops for the repair, and they said all I needed was to buff it out as it was not a deep scratch. So they gave me two options.

    1. $80 for a partial buff only on the spot scratched
    or
    2. While I'm at it go for a $150 for a full car buff.

My fear is that if they do the portioned buff it may look weird as it may be shiny in one place.
My other fear is if i do full buff would that make it easier for the paint to rust on my car.

Thank you for the people who would be able to help me out.
