    I heard on the news that there are some that contain viruses and that you shouldn't open them, maybe you could just put them in your spam folder and empty them...but they warned don't open them.

    Been there dozens of times and have never received any spam. Whatever it is it may not be originating from the campaign website . . it may be a phishing scam from a non-legitimate source or worse . . a virus. Don't open the email. You should contact the campaign website directly and send copies of the contents and headers of the email so they can conduct an investigation.

    Incidentally its not just Obama emails this is also happening with Palin emails . . so it is a scam.
