Nextel Sim Card Question... No it's nextel on the iden network. Maybe sim card isn't the correct name of the chips, but I called nextel and the tech even referred to the chip as a sim card.

If you go to the link above, you will see that Nextel is not a member of the GSM network in the U.S. The i860 is not a GSM phone. Perhaps you have it confused with a MMC--multimedia card?

Nextel Sim Card Question... Hey guys I just bought an i860 used without a sim card. If I buy a sim card off of ebay will I then just have to call nextel and have them activate it? What about if I bought a bigger sized card will that offer any benefits? I'm not even sure what size is the factory size for the i860. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys
