Can I apply liquid foundation with a kabookie brush or what brush should I use fingers, sponge more info down?

Ok so I'm going into middle school and I have a good amount of acne and I'm getting some liquid foundation at Walmart before u go rant on how foundation is bad for skin and how I should use concealer concealer doesn't have enough coverage and it doesn't work so I'm getting foundation but I am applying moisterizour before i apply the liquid foundationdid i spell that wrong ? Before I put on my foundation so my qestion is can I use a kabookie brush or should I use a sponge or my fingers and I already have a kabookie brush so yea and If I use a kabookie brush is it ok if I apply the foundation to the area then pat it in thanks no hate
