Is there any good books for a beginner who is trying to learn some basic skills for the outdoors? I grew up in a city and I wanted to learn some basic skills that I can use since I now live in a rural part of my state and have no real help in learning some basic stuff to begin to enjoy the outdoors. Skills such as knot tying, navigation/orienteering (map and compass), clothes to wear (material) during certain climates, snake and incest prevention, etc.
