    The "Sex Talk" What age...?

What is the best age to sit down and have a conversation about sex, STD's and pregnacy? I know kids today are starting at an even ealier age than when I was a kid in the 80's/90's. My son is 10. He already knows the basic mechanics about sex, since we have a large extended family. What should a child his age know and how should I, as a mom, tell him without it being too weird for him. I'm divorced and his dad has left the picture...I don't want to make it too awkward for the kid, but on the other hand I don't want him getting an STD and I sure don't want to be raising any gradbabies anytime soon. Also, how old were you when you lost your virginity or started to have oral sex and when (80's, 90's, '00, ect.) was that? Thanks!
