were the helmets waterproof?

those helmets were the most uncomfortable things in the world. Unfortunately, we had to have them because it was a school sanctioned event =/

i still dont get the tarp surfing thing. I mean, can it really be that entertaining after, say, 30 minutes?

I think it was more of the novelty of the idea that was fun, but it's still not as bad as you might think!
