Can i exchange a financed car before being paid off?

I have a financed car that I believe I brought at a bad price I only had the car for 8 months can I exchange the car for a cheaper one?I don't care if I lose the money I already paid for the car I have now....
Also can they financed a privately owned car? What are my options in this situation...
