Kyocera event stuck at logo?

Me and my mom had bought the kyocera event a week after they first came out it is now 8/18/13 and for some reason the night before my phone had shut off randomly at 60% battery so I left it alone. Then this morning I tried turning the phone on but it was stuck at the logo so after three minutes I took out the battery then tried again but the same thing happened again so I left it alone until it died but the problem still persists even after I fully charged it so I want to know if there is any way to fix it or if I should just trash it and buy a different phone any advice would be appreciated, thankyou. :)
