A few ?'s about a career in Computer Forensics?

I'm still in high school, but I have been looking at this particular field, and I have a few questions.

1. Is this a good field to get into? Like are the # of jobs and the pay good? What's the highest you can earn?
2. I know a bachelors will get you in the field, but, to really climb the ladder, will a Masters or even a PhD in something like Computer Science help?
3. Will a minor in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or any minor help in any way?
4. Are public vs. private sector pay any different?
