Should I buy iPad or Macbook Air? I own a good Dell laptop and iPhone.?

Hello Experts,

Could you please help me decide on this.

Reasons I want to buy an iPad
1. I use my iPhone too much. So iPad will replace the usage and my eyes will last longer.
2. iPhone is slow in multitasking and also opening apps. I guess iPad will be faster.
3. Faster browsing and youtube and all that can be done in iPad so I don't have to turn on my laptop.

Reasons I want to buy a MacBook Air
1. Read from many forums that MB Air is a winner compared to iPad. So thinking if I should invest money on a winner instead. I have no need of a laptop now but if spending same amount of money then should I spend it on iPad or MB Air.
2. My Dell laptop is heavy but fast. Because of its weight I try to avoid using it.
3. My Dell Laptop takes about 2/3 minutes before it can be used. Its a fact but not important enough to be the reason of dumping it.
