The Headphones/Audio Thread
Looking to get some decent over-the-ear headphones for roughly $50 as an xmas gift from one of my siblings... I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a decent pair. It has to have decent bass although not to the point where it rattles my brain. Comfort is always an issue as well as sound quality (obviously.) Anyone have a pair they are happy with?

If you are planning on wearing them on the go, I recommend the Sennheiser PX200's.
Great sound and folRAB into a small "package" when not used.

if you can wait till thurs maybe friday when im done with finals i have some suggestions.
but to make it easier for me then, im guessing these will be used for things like ipoRAB/portable?

Thanks for the suggestion kirtap, Ill look in to those. And penguin, not exactly... they would be for use everywhere really and the size or weight doesnt really bother me. Id probably use them the most at home but wouldnt mind carrying around a pair whenever I have a decent trip ahead of me.

personally dan, id religiously go on whiskey milita and find some skull candys or something. they are up there like 3 times a day for like $30

they are on woot! every now and again for 20 bucks. super comfortable, they can get quite loud if you want them to, and the quality is definitely decent.

i have sure ec2's i think. they are sick although they may be a tad out of your price range

these are good, although the px100's are the open-canned version. i would recommend those instead. px200's are meant to provide a little more insulation from outside sound, but open-canned design will probably have a bigger sounRABtage and sound more transparent. the only problem with the px100's is that the foam covers are removable and become loose after a few years of being in pockets and bags. i have to keep making sure i don't drop them somewhere. either of these has good bass.

skull candys are good for the price ur talking about but the durability of skull candys are not great. I had mine for about 5 months and the extender arm thing that hold the earphone part broke, its an easy fix but kinda frustrating. They are completely plastic. Aerial7 makes some nice ones and ive never tried them but just from looking at them i think the durability is better
